ICE ERO Newark Arrests Previously Removed Salvadoran National Facing Pending Firearm Charges in Texas

NEWARK, N.J. — Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Newark announced the arrest of an unlawfully present Salvadoran national with a significant history of immigration violations and pending criminal charges.

Officers from ERO Newark apprehended Noe Alexander Cornejo-Santos, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador, during a enforcement action in Newark.

According to immigration records and court documents:

  • Cornejo-Santos has been removed from the United States on four separate prior occasions.

  • He is currently facing pending criminal charges for discharging a firearm in the state of Texas.

  • He will remain in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody pending removal proceedings.

This arrest is part of ERO’s ongoing efforts to apprehend and remove removable noncitizens who have committed crimes or pose a threat to public safety.
